Hutchinson was previously a BDM in the wholesale lending business of GE Money. She has also worked as underwriting manager and business liaison manager at Firstmac. Her early career was spent in credit-related roles in the bank and non-bank sector.
Hutchinson said she was attracted to the global strength and success of GMAC-RFC.
"There's definitely a heightened sense of expectation amongst mortgage managers about the positive impetus GMAC-RFC Partners will bring to their business. An important part of my role will be to identify and work with quality mortgage managers, to assist them to leverage the benefits of the GMAC-RFC wholesale model," she said.
Hutchinson said her industry experience would help her understand the challenges that mortgage managers face on a daily basis.
"My role as relationship manager is to provide a strong bond between the lender and the mortgage manager," she said.
GMAC-RFC Australia's national sales manager - wholesale, Glenn Gibson, said Hutchinson's contribution would be valuable as GMAC-RFC moved quickly to capitalise on the strong early response to the Partners wholesale lending proposition.
"Julie will have an important role in building on this early momentum to take our presence in the wholesale space to a new level. She has well-developed networks in the Queensland market and a proven ability to cement mutually beneficial, long-term relationships."
